Caryn Westcott

I was born and raised in southern California. My parents took me to art shows, galleries and museums all through my childhood.  They encouraged a love and respect for the beauty of nature.  Glass art in all its forms caught my eye at a young age. 

 

A wedding at The Mission Inn when I was 5 and a stained glass class in middle school piqued my interest in the art.  In 1997, after I expressed my desire to take up stained glass again, my husband gave me an instructional book, tools and supplies for a stained glass project. I loved the craft. After a year and a half of experimentation and practice, I was honored to take a class from a master craftsman. 

 

In June, 2000 I opened Glasspirations Custom Stained and Leaded Glass.  I feel so blessed to do something for which I have such passion.  I love to celebrate nature and light by "playing" at the workbench!
